Czech Airlines launches a new version of its website

Information on flight connections at a single click, website bookmarks for easy reservation, or an option to become a member of the loyalty program immediately in the course of the reservation process. These improvements together with a change in graphics accompany the launch of the innovated website of Czech Airlines, created by AARON GROUP.

Aside from the graphics alone, the most visible changes were incorporated into the home page, especially into the structure and arrangement of information, and into the ergonomics of the search for flight connection. Preferred elements are the simplicity, comprehensibility, and more space devoted to the promotion of new products and discount offers. For instance, the search of a requested connection, including its final price, may be accomplished via a single click after entering the required flight destination, flight schedule and number of persons. A new feature is also the fact that all reservation information remains visible on the home page in the form of bookmarks; thus, the customers are in no need of prolonged returns to the previous pages if wanting to make changes in the previous steps.

"The changes made by Czech Airlines are the results of extensive research, as well as of monitoring the behavior of the customers via various analytical tools, for example using the so-called "heat maps". It has been verified that some of the control features of the original website were less favorable with customers than the others. Therefore, Czech Airlines tried to make the website more user-friendly and flexible at the same time," explains Mr. Peter Baláž, Manager of Electronic Marketing at Czech Airlines, and he adds: "Very important for the clients is the maximum speed of finding the searched information, ideally directly at the home page." That is exactly the feature the new website of Czech Airlines has adopted.

The other news is an option of registering into the loyalty program OK Plus Czech Airlines, to wait already during the reservation process for a flight ticket. The program allows customers to draw certain benefits from even their first flight. Moreover, the new website has undergone certain significant modifications within the frame of the so-called SEO Search Engine Optimization. The modifications should improve the placement of hyperlinks within search results.

Together with the deployment of its new website, Czech Airlines has lowered the price of the so-called Service Fee for the issuance of a flight ticket by 100.00 CZK. Clients of Czech Airlines will get a simple reservation and payment tools in addition to the existing and prepared on-line products, which will function on the principle of the Internet shopping cart. Payments for flight tickets may be made on the Czech Airlines website through, for example, a credit or debit card approved for Internet transactions, or a fund transfer between accounts if the customer has a bank account opened with Raiffeisenbank, eKonto or PaySec.
